My research spans a range of topics in global change and tropical conservation including climate change impacts, patterns of tropical biodiversity, urban ecology and endangered species conservation. To tackle conservation challenges locally and globally, my lab uses field-based empirical work and modelling approaches together to examine biodiversity patterns and provide environmental management recommendations at multiple scales. My current research efforts are primarily focused on the diverse forests of Asia and Central Africa. I’m an Associate Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Hong Kong.
